Cooking Up Cleaner Air Campaign
Join our efforts to inform Frederick about the dangers of natural gas appliances and electrify everything!
The Cooking Up Cleaner Air Project will foster community awareness of the dangers of natural gas kitchen appliances and promote the use of electric alternatives.
To implement Recommendation 38 from the Climate Response and Resilience Report (Encourage climate actions for Frederick area residents, households and homeowners associations), Mobilize Frederick received a grant from the United Way Campaign. With this funding, Mobilize Frederick will implement a series of community events as well as in-home air quality testing efforts with the goal of spreading awareness about the harmful effects of gas-burning stoves. In addition, Mobilize Frederick aims to provide at least 10 portable induction cooktops to families in need.
